Canadian & USA size 12 different

Discovering the Canadian merchant Olsen at Macy's, l I so-o-o looked forward to receiving my first purchase - a dress. The styles are classic and fabric appears to be quality. Upon arrival I found that the Canadian size 12 fit as a USA size 16. Sadly returned it.
