Defective dress-Macys & vendor TERRIBLE cust svc

Dress sleeve was sewn shut. Macy's said to contact the vendor or return the dress (which I bought on sale) and re-purchase it at the higher price. I emailed the vendor and they were not helpful. They told me to return the dress and purchase another size
