Orrefors Pearl Large Bowl

I was looking for a wedding gift for a young couple. It had to be useful, handsome, and, of course, affordable. This bowl checked all three boxes. The size was right in the Goldilocks range -- not too big, not too small -- making it eminently useful. The design was eye catching without pushing aesthetic boundaries, ideal for a couple whose tastes I did not know. And the price at $100 was my sweet spot, actually something of a bargain, I thought, for an admired maker like Orrefors.
