I would say this is a "get what you pay for" item. I do recommend staining before assembly. I should have sanded some parts as well. It's an ok piece of furniture, I'm glad we purchased it with intention of it being additional seating to our main sitting area and not as a main stage kind of seat. The complaints: -The hardware didn't match the instructions. -Some of the screws didn't go all the way through to catch the second piece of wood they were intended to connect to. Luckily this wasn't a structural portion. -The instructions were not clear on when to use the longest bolts and I had to back out a few in order to get it right. -A couple of the screws that were already in place on arrival were stripped and therefore we have some loose pieces. All in all, it's a workable piece of furniture, although rickety. If you plan on leaving it in one spot and sitting on it from time to time, that would be fine. No good If you plan to be able to move it around and be a "lifetime" piece.
Sturdiness
Pay attention to the assembly drawing for the left and right chair when the center piece needs to be installed. Nice outdoor furniture. Don't forget to use a stain/sealer to prevent wood decay.

Project time
I stained sanded and weather sealed all of the parts before assembling them. Assembling it was very difficult because there was no written instructions just pictures that were not accurate. I think the final product looks beautiful.

Comfortable!
Was a little concerned when we took it out of the box however once we got it together it is very nice. Surprisingly comfortable! I stained it before we put it together and it turned out beautiful. Added cushions and it is now sitting on our dock!

Love it
Love it .. was hesitant about the gray at but it looks warm .. not that hard to put together a few ounces of wood were over stressed but overall very pleased with my purchase.? My umbrella base it too thick for the hole so I improvised.

Nice product and comfortable to sit in.
Turned out better than expected. Recommend 2-3 hours for assembly. Make sure you have the boards and seats with the additional holes pointed towards the center to attach the center piece that holds the umbrella. I marked the pieces with tape before assembling so I made no mistakes. Use a small ratchet for the bolts and carefully use a power screwdriver for the screws, driving the screws the last few turns by hand. The pre-drilled holes always line up. If they don't you have a board turned around or you have torqued the bench by not placing flat on the ground. Use a level for the final piece and the holes will line up. I also used some clear water seal to protect the chairs.
