Just place your lemon or lime cut-side down onto the sturdy base and snap the hinged lid shut over it. The stretchy silicone lid molds to any shape to seal in freshness, no matter which way you slice your fruit. The flat base is large enough to hold big Meyer lemon halves and stores conveniently on any refrigerator shelf. I thought these were silly. Now I’m not composting as much of my citrus.

Easy way to reduce daily plastic wrap

Keeps foods fresh. Easy to use, dishwasher clean. Environmentally friendly. Also bought the onion saver. Use them for all cut skinned fruits eg pomegranate halves. Great innovation!

BRILLIANT Idea

I use a lot of lemons and limes. The plastic baggy idea is not ideal. This most definitely is and keeps them fresher longer!

Very Handy

It’s a small thing, but I’ve found a use for it evrey day. Not just lemons and limes, but apples, shallots, even a couple of shrimp. Keeps out most of the air and tucks into small spaces in the fridge. I feel the stretchy silicone might be a bit vulnerable to damage, so I’m washing by hand and handling with care.

not work for me

yes, the lemon stay fresh but the bad side is that only with small pieces, for example not work with a pice of tomato or any veggie because the silicon part broke , I returned to plastic bags.

Nice container

It looks like they will work well fro lemons and limes but I have not used them yet. I do love the OXO brand though.

Stats fresh

Whoa, this actually works! My lemon stayed fresh this is a game changer. I dont always use a full lemon and the other half normally gets wasted because it goes bad before I need a lemon again. I used this for 3 weeks and it works I'm so excited

Poor Execution for a Much Needed Solution

The Oxo Good Grips Cut & Keep Silicone Citrus Saver unfortunately falls short of its intentions. As a citrus saver, we found that the citrus was not well preserved for short periods of time in the refrigerator. Additionally, the overall design is problematic. The silicone diaphragm does not stay in place, and it is difficult to store multiple pieces of citrus within it. As a single use of half a lemon for example, one would need to fully slice the remaining half in order to store it effectively which leads to more rapid deterioration of the citrus. As an avid OXO products user, this one falls short of the mark and does not convey the thoughtfulness that typically sets OXO products apart. A plastic sandwich bag does a better job of storing the citrus and that is the worst possible solution.
