Beautiful lamp but Filling from the Bottom is

I love this lamp. The quality s good and the seeded glass is beautiful. My only reservation is that it fills from the bottom. I didn't fully appreciate what that meant when I bought it. I wanted to add sand since I use this in a beach themed room but adding sand is not an option. Because you have to unscrew the bottom bolt, and work around the middle rod it is a little awkward to add items and difficult to get the items to stay where you want them. Just beware of that. Otherwise it is beautiful and looks great with seashells. Maybe other people are better at it that I am but after putting the bottom back on, nothing stayed where I wanted.
