Good toothbrush with design flaws

Less than two years use by my wife and it wouldn't switch off. investigation shows the water seal at the top of the toothbrush surrounding the transfer shaft had failed allowing water to enter the inside of the toothbrush causing failure, aditionally the transfer shaft is corroded, shouldn't happen should be made from hard stainless. This is her second Sonicare toothbrush the first lasted about four years which I thought was reasonable considering its used daily. Philips is a trusted well known brand and to allow inferior components to be used in one of their flagship brands is nothing more than shoddy. The transfer shaft should be made from a corrosion free material and the moisture seals should be robust enough to withstand years of use. This is a great toothbrush let down by design flaws which could be easily fixed by their design engineers. Search online for water ingress in Sonicare toothbrushes. Its a common occurrence, and it shouldn't happen in an expensive premier product.

Lasted 2 years.

I really like this toothbrush, but after about 1 year, it began to stick and didn't vibrate as much has it had when it was new. After 1.5 years, I had to jiggle the end each time before brushing because it would completely seize up. After 2 years, it began coming on automatically. I guess it must have had moisture in the switch or something because it would randomly come on throughout the day. All the rubber seals had corroded by the 2nd year, so I imagine it simply got moisture inside, which rusted the vibrating mechanism and shorted out the electronics.

Product stop working in January 2020

Poor quality. Product stopped working in January 2020 and I didn't know it was still under warranty until today when I went to register another product.

Battery wore out again!!

I have owned several Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes and the battery has issues and wears out way too soon! The toothbrush is too expensive for it to wear out so soon and not be usable. Please improve the product.

I find it easy to clean my teeth for 2 minutes

My teeth feel extra clean. I rotate beginning on top teeth in morning and bottom teeth in the evening. The last 13 teeth feel like they get short changed because the brush just stops rotating

I love my toothbrush

It cleans in a different way than most other electric toothbrushes You cannot damage your gums by pressing too hard.
