Its okay

Have had this receiver for a while now. I was never able to get the zone 2 to work like it says. I have had issues where the sound wont come on and I have to shut fully off and unplug the power just to get the sound to come back on. The settings are confusing and I find myself cycling thru the surround sound modes trying to find the best sound. This is hooked up to a brand new TCL 85" TV with EARC, Bose speakers and its a lot of settings I feel should not be necessary. It does give great sound and video just never quite sure its set right for me.

Pulling my hair out

Bought this to replace my dead Onkyo TX-NR1009. After 6 hours of researching through forums and not being able to get the picture to properly display I decided I have wasted too much time and I am going to just return it. This is after trying it with a Nvidia Shield Pro and a brand new AppleTV 4k. The picture comes on the screen for a split second then goes black. Either I got a bad receiver or this receiver is not compatible with either one of these devices.

One happy customer...

Excellent for my size room and coupled with the Klipsch 5.1.2 surround is a perfect match. Great sound watching TV and movies. Love the Dolby sound tracks. I love Jazz music (Bob James, Stanley Clark, George Duke, etc.) and it sounds incredible. Very happy I chose Klipsch and Pioneer Elite.

VSX-LX105 AV - Excellent replacement for SC-81

Replaced an older SC-81 - Seems to do the job just fine and works with the 12volt trigger we needed for our dropdown screen. All connected with Apple TV, Verizon, and Bluray.
