Looked Like a Nightgown on Me

I'm 5'5 with a long torso and shorter legs. My bra size is 40 DD and I typically wear a 14 in dresses. I ordered the 14W. The dress fit. My problem is how it looked on me. It looked like I was wearing a fancy nightgown set. The "slip dress" is very much just a slip. Very thin material. The chiffon was a bit overwhelming and when I had it tied, I looked like I was wearing fancy sleepwear. I thought I could save myself a trip to the mall by buying this dress online for a wedding, but off I go to return it..and to hopefully find one that looks better on me. I think this dress would look great on someone taller, but it wasn't for me.

Pleasant Surprise!

Love the "high/low hemline! I wasn't sure about ordering this dress but I needed something to wear to a high school reunion where the main event was to be a dress/casual look. I love to dress up so when I saw this outfit I figured it fit the bill because it is somewhat understated without much embellishment yet a little unusually interesting with the hemline it offered. The color is a bit confusing in that it looks to be a dull blue in low lights but a deep green in bright lights. As for the size, the size chart suggested I order it in 2x/18W with the measurements I plugged in. However, I decided to order the size 16W because I thought the "flowingess" of the dress seemed ample enough to fit me. Well, I was right! I tried it on and my husband loved it on me! For those who need a mental picture, I'm 5'9 tall, 213lbs., bust 44', waist 39', hips 50', yes, a true "pear shape"! I'm planning to pair this dress with nude strappy 2'heels, gold hoop 2' earrings, and a heavy wide gold bracelet.

Very nice dress but not for me. Made me look bigger. Sadly I have to return.
