portmerion botanic garden mugset is by pimpernel??

This mug set is very nice BUT it has a different background color and does NOT MATCH all the other botanic garden pieces by portmeirion. These mugs have a crisp stark white background color and all the other botanic garden china has a creamy background??? I had not noted the "by pimpernel" lingo in the original product description, nor would I have know that these do not match the standard botanic garden pieces?? Why would they make these a different color?? Thus there is a "nice BUT not what I wanted" conclusion for me...

Best gift sets for the couple.

I ordered three botanic garden mug sets as the gift! It's perfect gift for the newly married couple!!! They are microwave & dishwasher safe!!!!! :) I had some problems with one of the mug sets. one of the mug was broke. :( I called the customer services and they send me the sets right away! Thank you for responding to my calls. I really appreciate your customer services.

FABULOUS GIFT

Pair of mugs and matching coasters come in a beautiful gift box that anyone will appreciate, even if not Portmeirion collector. Although I have assorted barrel shaped Portmeirion mugs, I ordered these for myself to dress up my morning coffee. Although the are secured by the Portmeirion gift box, wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and foam, one of the mugs was chipped. When I couldn't find any pieces, could only assume the mug was already broken when picked for shipment. I did not look forward to arguing with Macy's and repacking for pickup or returning to Macy's store. To my amazement, Macy's customer service offered to replace my order. Period. I have purchased Portmeirion from many sources. From now on, I will stick with Macy's. KUDOS, MACY'S!

It is a good buy

The porcelain mug has a nice material touch. Either drink coffee or tea seems to add aroma of fresh scent. And the coasters are a bonus. It is a good buy.
