Terrible design: fatal flaw in how shade attaches

BEWARE: the lampshade was custom designed to fit the base, so you will never ever be able to replace it. Heaven help you if movers damage it or it gets dusty or yellows over time, as lampshades always do. To see what I mean, take a critical look at the photo showing how the shade attaches. Furthermore, the cross braces on my shade are half an inch too far apart. As a result, the shade cannot be screwed firmly and evenly to the base. I can jury-rig something with new set of bolts and a handful of washers, but at this price point I expect competent design. The lamp itself is otherwise solid and nicely made.

Well Made & Nicely Designed

This is a sturdy well made and nicely designed lamp. It is a quality lamp with its pull chains, nickel finish and white fabric rectangular shade. It has a good weight to it and looks great!
