Interesting, gripping psychological thriller that has a little bit of everything thrown in, romance, friendship and mind games. Thought I had the plot twist figured out but alas, it was a shocker. My first read from this author and won't be my last.

Psychological Suspense with a Big Surprise Ending
The pace of this novel is moderate, with some slow parts and other parts that seem to be racing to a conclusion. The plot is believable, with a marriage and family counselor names Laina Landers facing attacks against the privacy of her patients. When she meets intrepid reporter Cal Murray, the attraction between the two of them is instantaneous. Cal wants to assist Laina in discovering who is behind the attacks against her patients and he becomes even more determined when Laina herself is targeted. There were some unexpected twists, a lot of red herrings and a big surprise at the end. I did not consider the characters totally relatable or the narrator completely reliable, so there were times when I was not sure who was being truthful in the story. Laina is persistent in her desire to protect her patients, Cal is equally persistent in his pursuit of the story and the patients seem to be caught in the middle. I liked most of the characters except Harvey, Laina’s business partner who is skanky and untrustworthy. The characters mostly presented a real face to the world, especially the patients who were suffering from having their secrets revealed. There are some steamy scenes between Laina and her new lover, but they did not add or detract from the central story. They just seemed superfluous to me. I would classify this book as psychological suspense, not really a thriller, because although there is a “watcher” who constantly interrupts the story, there are no big threats that made my heart pound as a thriller would. I give the book a 3.5 and round it up because of the surprise ending. Disclaimer Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley. Twisted psychological thriller!
I read the description for this book and was immediately intrigued. I really enjoy reading thrillers involving therapists, their patients, and dark secrets. This book had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved the premise of being watched and at what lengths will various characters go to in order to keep their secrets hidden. And the ending....never saw it coming! This was one gripping psychological thriller you don't want to miss out on reading! Highly recommend!

Intriguing!
An absolutely gorgeous cover is a camouflage for this intriguing thriller where there is no privacy. Sometimes the people we love are not the people we think they are. Various characters will do anything to keep their secrets buried while others will do whatever it takes to uncover them. Nina Sadowsky does a terrific job of revealing the true qualities of these awful characters. Sincere thanks to the publisher and author for providing this complimentary ARC through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion. #privacy #ninasadowsky #netgalley #randomhousepublishing #bantam #ballantine #newrelease #coverlove #bookstagrammer #summerread #justfinishedreading #bookrecommendations #advancedreaderscopy #fourstarread #booknerd #bookaholic #newauthortome #fortheloveofbooks #readingisfun #lovetoread #lovebooks #thrilleraddict #suspenseaddict #thrillersofinstagram

Therapist with a target on her back
Lana Landers is a marriage and family therapist who seems to have a target on her back. When the newspaper prints a story about how she heroically saved one of her patients, that is when the strange events begin to happen. Someone seems to have it in for her personally, and is victimizing her patients using private information from her files. Threatening “gifts” and messages are sent both to her patients, and eventually to her as well. As she investigates, with an attractive reporter, the frightening events come to a suspenseful head and the truth becomes clear.

Kept me on the edge of my seat
Wow. I'm not usually a reader of psychological thrillers. But when I read the synopsis I was intrigued. I started the book and I could not put it down. I loved the dual povs. I was riveted to where and what was going to happen. I won't say anything else because I don't want to spoil the book. Just read it. Laina Landers is a therapist and someone is targeting her patients. Cal Murray is an investigative journalist. He finds himself enraptured with Laina and tries to help discover who's targeting her patients.

Someone is Watching...
Watching - someone is watching. And so begins this tantalizing psychological thriller about a therapist and her patients. Also involved is a partner in the practice, a lawyer, a transitioning best friend and possibly a new love interest in the form of an intrepid reporter. Delicious! Many thanks to NetGalley and Bantam for this ARC!
