These were very, very comfortable, and extra wide for my extra wide feet. Also were good quality, and built well. I could see traveling with these and walking everywhere, except that they were a bit clunky. I think maybe a bit more height would have made them less so. Although the side photo on the black shows many open spaces, when you look down at your feet they pretty much cover like a closed toe shoe would. Also, the tan color was a bit too light colored for me and blended into my feet. I wound up returning them, but reluctantly because they were SO comfortable.
