Pursonic service is ignoring me

I received this vacuum cleaner as a gift, and it didn't work out of the box after being charged. It happens, and is annoying but typically not a major deal. I contacted Pursonic to help troubleshoot or replace. They are completely non-responsive and unhelpful. So I'm stuck with this vacuum-shaped paperweight and I don't know what else to go.

Suction not strong as I would like.

This handheld vacuum did not have strong suction. It’s not as rugged as my last model and has smaller basket to collect dirt.
