These holdbacks are really nice. So, why just four stars? Personal preference. I expected that there would be a right and left version of the leaves (like there would be on a curtain rod) so that both sides would look the same. But unfortunately, both sets of leaves are oriented the same. So on the left side, the large leaf is on top and on the right side, the small leaf is on top The backs of the leaves are different from the front, so I can't turn it over. This makes it appear that the right holdback is lower than the left one even though I measured everything so that it would be the same on both sides. This may not bother some, but I find it annoying. I decided to keep them and use them, but I wanted to warn anyone thinking of buying them, that might have an issue with this.

I recommend the black. I bought it and it looks so natural. It blends nicely with the valance I bought. The rod is quite thin, as you can see in the picture. I doubt it would hold heavy curtains. I had to extend mine to the full length of 120".

I got these in the brass and nickel finishes. They are so beautiful! Very easy to install yourself. You have to get the matching rods. They look perfect with any type or color curtains or drapery. Do it. You're going to love the look!

I bought two of these, one in the nickel and one in the bronze. They are beautiful, sturdy, and very high quality. I get compliments about them from everyone. They will add a very classy look to any room in the house. I want to mention that the design is asymmetrical so the leaves are right side up on one side and upside down on the other, and to me this is a much more interesting look than if it was totally matchy-matchy and symmetrical. Don't buy cheap rods at a bargain basement store. I made that mistake and regretted it, your curtains will sag and look tacky. These rods are sturdy and easy to put up yourself. Your drapes or curtains definitely will not sag with these Rod Desynes. If you're looking for something that looks nice, and is solid, and will last a long time then buy these. great way to make your home look stylish. i am always getting compliments. wish i could post a photo. I have light yellow walls and baby blue, very light kinda greyish curtains. The rods match very well.
