I bought this product and it doesn’t fit in my car correctly, the straps don’t fit will on child, and one side is always tighter than the other.

Wouldn’t buy this

Flimsy styrofoam headrest broke within a few months of buying it.

great seat other than the cup holders

I got this carseat a few months ago and it has been a great seat other than we took it on vacation and since the cup holders do not securely lock in place they fell off and out of our gate check bag for the carseat so I no longer have them and can't find a place to re-order another set

A good basic carseat

First of all, I want to say thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this all in one car seat! My overall impression so far is that it looks sleek and my son seems comfortable in it. The only thing I'm concerned about is that it will get lots of stains due to the light sand color (but I'm sure it has different color options). I like that this carseat can grow with my child so I don't have to get a booster seat later on and if needed when we have another baby I could even use it as an infant seat. It's great to have flexibility. I also like that it is on the slimmer side, which I think will come in handy as our family grows. As far as installation goes my husband says it wasn't too difficult.

Versatile All-in-One Car Seat

I received the Safety 1st Trimate All-in-One Convertible Car Seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My first impression with this particular seat was how light weight it is! This is a huge bonus factor for our family as we have four young children ranging in age from 21 months to 6 years seated in rear and forward facing positions. Other top features are the ultra slim design, allowing seating for three car seats in the back row if needed with the added advantage of two cup holders. All four of our children were comfortable in this seat and it was easy to move to alternate vehicles and adjust to the size of each child as needed. Installation was simple for both latch and seat belt securement methods. The tan seat cover coloring is attractive, however I would opt for a darker shade to help with any potential future stains and a slightly larger cup holder to accommodate some of our bigger water bottles. My children need a little practice buckling and unbuckling independently with the clip style but I believe they will master this easily in the near future. I did not find the clips difficult to fasten. All in all this is a very versatile seat that will grow with our family for years to come.

Great Slim Car Seat on a Budget

I received the Safety 1st TriMate All-in-One Convertible Car Seat to try out from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. After several weeks of use, I can attest that it is a great, slim car seat on a budget. It fits three across in my small suv with a booster and another not-quite-as-slim slim car seat. My five year old rides in it as a forward facing car seat quite happily. The seat came fully assembled in the box so set up and install were quick and easy. That said, it's not a seat I'd want to have to move around often as it lacks some features like the push to release latch system. The latch system must be manually unhooked which is markedly more difficult with three seats right up against each other. A few other features make it a bit fiddly. The chest clip is a bit difficult to release requiring two hands to undo. The shoulder strap cushions are bulky and twist around often rather than staying in place requiring frequent fixing. The car seat cover seems to shift easily as well which may make it easy to remove, but also means I am frequently reattaching parts of it to the seat. Despite these little inconveniences, the seat is comfortable and the price point makes a three across set up far more accessible than other seats on the market. It really is quite slim!! I'd highly recommend to anyone needing a slim fit seat on a budget!

Love this car seat!

The Safety 1st TriMate All-In-One Convertible car seat is great! Right away I noticed the design and how clean it looked. The Dunes Edge fabric is a lighter color than other car seats we have, and I think that's great as I'm sure it would absorb less heat if parked in the sun. As soon as we pulled it out of the box, our 14 month old son climbed in and loved it! The headrest is easily adjustable, and makes it so our son is comfortable while we drive. Plus, the ability to move the straps as our son grows is great. We have two sedans, so the slim profile allows for bringing more with us wherever we go, and it fits well behind the front passenger seat in the backwards configuration. We do have to have that passenger seat moved up a bit, but this seat fits better than others have, and when we flip it around as he gets older it will fit even better. I love that it also comes with cupholders, but we quickly found that our 14 month old son was able to remove them easily, so they've been in and out. It's great having a spot for his water bottle though while we drive. Installation is also easy, but the included anchors were a little tough to tighten for proper safety, so I wound up also using the seat belt. Overall, this is a great car seat and we plan to use it for many years! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this to review.

I would recommend this product

I received this carseat from Stellar Product Testing Panel. We used it forward facing as the booster seat. We have 3 kids, all of whom are using front facing carseats. They all LOVED it! They each reported great comfort (specifically saying it was so cozy!) and they loved the color and design. They each also expressed their love for the cup holders! In comparison to our other carseats, it seems slightly lower in quality; however, I still like the carseat and trust it to keep my kids safe. It has the same slim dimensions as our other seats and fits 3 across with them. The fabric is soft but also just feels kind of cheap and not sure how it will hold up long-term. The cup holders are a little too easy to remove... with the movement of the kids getting into the seat, they turn enough to knock them loose. Not a super great design there. The seat was easy to convert to the booster and removing the harness was simple. The seat was easy to install as well. Overall, a nice carseat and would recommend it to others!
