Do not even bother

I received my Vonn mules and only opened up one of the pairs a few weeks ago. I just took the other pair out of the dust bag and the leather is completely ruined (unbound to both pieces, highly overpolished to cover up the poor craftsmanship and lack of quality of leather) compared to the other pair, which is sleek and well-treated leather. Only one shoe was as I anticipated and how it was advertised.  The heel of both of the shoes also already has marks and noticeable indents on them both that could have only come from the factory because it was packaged very well and beautifully. Additionally, the leather that was supposed to be bound to the heel is already coming off as pictured in the defect pair; this is with no wear at all. Overall, this looks like quality control was missing from one of the pairs that should not have been sold or left their warehouse. I have attached pictures to show the huge disparity in quality of these new and unworn shoes. I spent so long debating the purchase of these shoes and this was my first Sam Edelman pair. I am hugely disappointed at the quality and would not repurchase another pair if this is the quality this company stands by and sells. Additionally, Sam Edelman has an entire "defects" under their FAQ which requires you to pay for postage and spend your time just to get a refund (minus shipping) IF their warehouse deems it faulty. A company that has so few FAQ, yet has to have a FAQ defect policy is not worth gambling my time or money on any more pairs.
