love this but....
I am absolutely in love with this set. however i have had it for 3 months and the odor will not leave the dressers. it is strong and had I known this I would not have bought it. my entire bedroom is consumed with this smell I can not get rid of. it annoys me and makes it hard to sleep in.

I love the look of this bed. It is also really sturdy, no jiggling when my husband is restless during the night. We've had this bed for several years now and still love it.
Nice finish, poor design
This bed looks beautiful, but poorly designed. When our guests went to use it it squeaked every time they moved and loud enough to wake the whole house. The slats are made of thin plywood and not adequate for normal weight. We had to add reinforcement in order to make it usable. Additionally, this bed sits up very high. If you are average height for a woman, it’s a stretch. Particularly difficult for our older guests.

Unfinished platform
The bed is beautiful except for one HUGE issue. The full size platform that the box spring sits on is exposed by almost 2” on either side. It is unfinished raw wood with exposed screw heads and is very unsightly. You would only see this when you draw the coverings back to get in. I find this extremely off putting and careless. I can’t believe the manufacture would deliberately design it this way. Perhaps I am missing some parts that would address this? I wish I could post a picture of the discrepancy. This bed meets my needs and I don’t want to send it back. Please help me out.

Lovely storage bed!
I was very impressed by the salesperson's knowledge of the Sanibel Collection. The off-white storage bed is very well-done. Everyone who has seen it has commented favorably. All of the pieces in this collection are beautiful.
Pretty good
My husband and I bought the king size storage bed with drawers, dresser, bachelor chest, and the nightstand. I like the furniture, it's a pretty cream color and very lightly distressed. Not extremely durable though... when the delivery guy rested the bed's slat against my dresser during assembly it created a divot because of the weight. Geez. Most of the drawers open and close pretty easy except one. My jewelry box that sits on my dresser has already worn off some of the paint on it and I've only had it about a month! I was hoping the king size bed wasn't going to have overhang like other reviewers mentioned but sure enough it does. I wonder why would Macy's not have the bed fit a standard mattress? So, yes, I agree it's ugly that you can see the wood slats that the mattress lays on. Even without the box spring, the bed is very tall. I have to hoist myself up on the bed haha. Anyway, overall I think I would get the his and hers dressers again but not the nightstand and the bed. My bedroom looks a little matchy matchy with this set. By the way, it took two months for this set to arrive because the products were arriving from Vietnam broken.
Wood panels show...
I had such high hopes for this bed but when they came to assemble it- I feel complete regret. First, my box spring is too high. I wasn't sure I'd get an actual bed so I ordered the higher box spring. The lady at Macy's saw this under my account and should've said something when I ordered this set. But she didn't. So now I'm stuck waiting for a new box spring. I will NOT put my mattress directly on this bed because the wood panels look like they'd snap in a minute. One of the beams already has a split. When I pointed this out to the delivery guy he said "well you bought the protection." Ok... meanwhile. The wood literally sticks out from the mattress and box spring and shows. This looks so ugly not to mention the amount of splinters I'll get from making my bed. I'm honestly not sure what to do. Also, the delivery guys left marks on my walls and the styrofoam litter on the carpets of my apartment hallways. My apartment manager looked at me and the mess and said "you're going to clean this up". I mean yes I will but "white glove service?" Definitely nothing special.
