We purchased this Sealy Naturals mattress because I had an allergic reaction to a Stearns&Foster mattress purchased from Macy's a few weeks earlier. The allergy started as a mysterious irritation on my back (an itch and small red spots). It became a painful dry red rash. I eliminated possible causes (medications? pets? a rough seam in the back of a nightgown?). Finally I wondered, "Could it be the new mattress?" With some on-line research, I discovered that memory foam could be responsible for skin irritations. Most new mattresses have memory foam, unlike our decades-old latex mattress. To test the theory, I started sleeping in the guest bedroom (with a latex mattress) and my symptoms started to improve in about a week. Rather than testing mattress toppers and enclosures, we decided to request a replacement from Macy's. We've had the new Sealy Naturals mattress for about 10 days and it has been very comfortable. Best of all: no allergy symptoms! This mattress is a KEEPER!
