Gorgeous must-have book for long-distance friends

"See You Someday Soon" is a picture book that beautifully chronicles the everyday-ness of missing someone you dearly love. Tender, apt and poignant, the sparse text hones in on the most central emotions and wishes one feels during days apart, while perfectly placed cut-outs move unpredictably across the pages to spotlight important details. "See You Someday Soon" is a piece of art that's both cathartic and exploratory. It's raw, direct dialogue and loose, emotive sketches allow readers to clearly see their own feelings of loss, without loosing the light of hope for a reunion... someday soon.

Gorgeous Book

This book is beautifully written and includes gorgeous illustrations and die-cut pages. Pat is a master lyrical writer and the words float off the page with vivid imagery. She is one of my favorite writers and I highly recommend you pick up her books.

better as a physical book

<i>See You Someday Soon</i> is a short children’s audiobook about a child imagining ways to see their grandma who lives far away. As an audiobook, you miss out on the pictures that go with the story, and I suspect this would make a better physical book than audiobook. The first half of the story was just OK, but the second half was more entertaining as the child used their imagination. I would recommend this book in paper format. Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an audio ARC of this book.
