Not as firm as they say it is in the description. The edge of the bed sags low when you sit or lay down.

Comfortable
After a week of sleeping on it, I have been waking up with no back pain. The mattress really supports my back. I’m sleeping more comfortably and it is great! When I opened the mattress. I recommend this mattress to anyone who needs back support when sleeping!

Finally Sleeping Through the Night
I've never been able to sleep well, and I usually toss and turn all night. This mattress has made a world of difference! It is so comfortable, and my body doesn't ache in the morning like it used to. It cushions my body to where I don't feel pressure on my back or shoulders, but doesn't feel too firm. I'm usually really hot when I sleep, and I wake up feeling sweaty. This has really changed that, because it's so breathable and keeps me cooler. I love the quality; it's sewn with no loose strings or frayed fabric, and I think it will hold up against wear and tear and last a long time. I think it's a good mix that it has both coils and foam, because it provides great support while still feeling soft and comfy. Serta has always made great products, and this is no exception.

Supportive, Comfortable, Cool
I've been sleeping on this mattress for about a month now and absolutely love it. The mattress is on the firmer-side (about a 7 out of 10) which I like a lot. My previous mattress was very soft and I found that I much prefer the support that this mattress provides. Additionally, the build quality of the mattress is exceptional, and I believe this will last quite a while. Overall, very impressed!

Sweet dreams
I had been sleeping on a popular memory foam bed-in-a-box mattress for the last four years. I slept well for the first few years, but more recently waking up with a sore neck and back had become such a normal part of my day that I had assumed it was just a part of aging. It was not unusual for plans to sleep in on weekends to be thwarted by the nagging back pain telling me it was time to move. I was nervous about the Perfect Sleeper Cobalt Coast mattress when my back pain seemed worse the first 3-4 days. However, after those initial days needed to adjust, I have been sleeping wonderfully! I am typically waking up with no back pain (caveat below), and I have noticed that I've been sleeping much more restfully as well. The Perfect Sleeper is firmer than my last mattress, but the gel foam layer still provides a comfortable surface. The only caveat to the pain-free sleep I've experienced is when I sleep on my side. I've been trying to train myself to sleep on my back more, but I've been a side sleeper for decades. Due to the firmness of this mattress, I do experience pain at the pressure point of whichever shoulder I am sleeping on. This also occurred to some extent with my old mattress, so maybe it's just me! I did find a solution using two staggered pillows that really eliminates most of the problem, but if you are a side-sleeper like me you may want to go for one of the more plush models. Also, kudos to Serta for adding nice, sturdy handles on the sides of the mattress for ease of moving!
