I decided to buy this on a whim, and while I am so glad that I gave it a try, I have to say that it appears that the vacuum itself is too short for someone of my height (5'10") to use. I have attached a photo of it on it's stand with my Dyson V11 standing upright beside it in an attempt to show the height difference. I must say the shark was so short that I could barely push it along the carpet; I kept lifting it up off the floor instead. I did not actually like the detect mode for the edges of the room, as I found it irritating that the suction was adjusted upwards to clean the edge of the room. This product left beautiful lines in the carpet and it did an OK job on hard floors too. I have some very light rugs that my Dyson V11 cannot clean (as it will try to suck them up) and this shark did a great job of fluffing those rugs back up. This is not a proper cyclonic vacuum cleaner. IF one is to open it up one can see that there is just a pleated HEPA filter behind the cone shaped shroud that is inside the bin. This does lead me to be concerned that the machine would lose suction very fast. The contents of the vacuum stick straight to the shroud. I had thought this vacuum would be cyclonic when I purchased it, hence why I am mentioning this. I found the self-emptying base cleared most of the dust off the filter, but not all of it. Furthermore, The self-emptying base is not cyclonic either, and you will have to stick your hand in there to clean some of the dust off when you do eventually empty it. It is a great idea that I think could use some fine tuning. Overall, the product was good, but I found that I personally could not overlook its faults, so I sent it back and I am still using my Dyson V11. I am not a stranger to Shark products as I used to be a house cleaner. 9 times out of 10 I would recommend the Shark corded vacuum to people as Shark products are normally excellent. I have even gifted a corded shark to my mother as she enjoys that it is much lighter than a corded Dyson. I myself continue to use Dyson in my own home due to the fact that I will only use a cordless vacuum for myself. This is not my first time buying a Shark cordless either; last time was a Vertex (I believe) and I also found that one was too short. This is something I would really like to see improved, possibly by an adjustable length tube, so that I can use a Shark cordless vacuum, instead of continuing to pay Dyson's prices.

I am writing to you today regarding an issue I've experienced with my vacuum cleaner. The wand broke in less than a year of use. It seems to be a multi-purpose product that isn't particularly good at anything in particular. From the moment I first purchased it, the wand was loose and wobbly, and it eventually broke. I have used several vacuum cleaners over the years, but this is the first time I've ever had a wand break. Additionally, as other users have mentioned in their reviews, the triangular part inside the dust cylinder has accumulated a significant amount of dust that is impossible to clean. It is quite inconvenient every time I see it. Additionally, I've had trouble with dust accumulating in the triangular section of the dust cylinder. There is no effective way to clean this area, which is a constant source of frustration.

Can be frustrating
Is a good vacuum when things aren’t getting stuck in it because of the bending part of the stick or when you try to vacuum anything bigger than a 10cent piece, also the automatic empty in great but sometimes doesn’t work if there’s anything covering the connections

Not worth the money - always getting clogged
We’ve had this for 6 months. The only good thing about it is the self emptying feature. Don’t waste your money, we spend more time cleaning out the main shaft than vacuuming - it’s too narrow and is always getting clogged. The battery takes a long time to recharge too!

Shark cordless vacuum
Item works as described
Theory good - execution poor
I bought this vacuum a few months ago. Had an older Dyson and was sick of the way you had to empty it so the auto emptying appealed to me. The theory is good but execution is poor. As other reviews say it keeps getting blocked up by dust balls at the head of the vacuum or in the centre of the tube. I also notice that I have to put it on the stand properly or it wont empty and when it does it wont empty properly and when you take the vacuum off the stand the little flap is held open by dust balls and dust goes everywhere. Not ideal. The suction is pretty poor too. Still having to use my Dyson as well as this vacuum. Suction from the side is not there as shown in the video.

Great lights, doesn't clog up
We like it and it cleans well. It is easy to use and conveinent to empy hands free. Very happy with this model.

Terrible battery life
I brought this vacuum a month ago. While I love the auto empty feature and the vacuum seems powerful enough the battery is completely useless. I have never got more than 15 minutes use out of it no matter what setting it is on, so I always end up finishing my vacumning with my target cordless vacuum instead. Very disappointing 😕
