Power Meets Pet Hair — Almost Perfect

We’ve used the Shark Canister Pet Bagless Corded Vacuum around here with a couple of furry friends, and I think it hits most of the marks. Suction is really strong — it picks up tons of pet hair especially on hard floors and low-pile carpet. The hose wand is flexible, the canister is pretty lightweight, and stuff glides well when you’re moving furniture or cleaning around tight spaces. Emptying the dust bin is simple and mess-free, and the filters seem to trap allergens well. Some things aren’t perfect though. The head isn’t huge, so it takes a few more passes on thick carpet. The hose can be a bit awkward under low furniture before you adjust it. On higher-pile rugs, it doesn’t always pull up everything in one go. But for most everyday messes and pets, it does really well.

i purchased the 350 cannister vacuum and found hose was defective and there was no replacement available,recieved a upright vacuum for replacement. , no call has followed as yet. Not completely sure that it is as good as one we had.

My #1 choice

This is my favorite Shark so far. I've used many different ones..Apex powered Lift Away is my favorite of the uprights. But this canister type is better loved by my elbow cursed with tendinitis. It's lightweight and very quiet. I love the cord storage. Pretty long cord (the Apex was longer). The options on the handle are convenient but I anticipate that to not work for long. My only issue is the cloth cleaning roller tore up so I had to take it off. And let me tell you without that piece it can tear up a rug. I am not a fan of that piece anyway. It gets so dirty. Kinda makes me feel like I'm causing the carpet to be dirty by running that dingy cloth roller over it. Not to mention how it holds pet hair. Ugh Great suction power as all Sharks are. Years ago I had a Shark that came with the Hero hardfloor accessory. Of course they stopped including it with the vacuum. I started to buy a generic attachment with an adapter to use on hard floors. I do love Shark vacuums and will buy another canister one when mine dies.

Vacuum shuts off

Probably a safety feature for the vacuum to shut off to keep the motor from over heating but I can't vacuum a full room without it shutting off 8 times. Rather annoying. I've gone thru all the trouble shooting to see if something was stuck in the machine but couldn't find anything. I a sending back.

Our first canister vacuum and we like it. Love the light on the front as well as the retractable cord. It is easy to empty and does a great job.

So far as I can see the vacuum is performing as advertised; great on the dog hair and we have 3 GSD's.

The best canister vacuum I’ve owned!

Let me start this review by saying that I have purchased and used a lot of vacuums in my day. For the last couple of years I’ve been using the Shark Vertex Powered lift away. I love that machine, but still missed having a canister. I had been seeing the Shark Canister Pet vacuum advertised on line and a couple days ago decided to purchase, and I’m so glad I did. The first thing I noticed when trying it out for the first time was how powerful it is. The suction power is unbelievable. I also love that it has 3 speeds of suction power. The beater brush has two speeds. Low and high. High is recommended for carpet while low is recommended for hardwood floors. The power head has fins mixed with bristles and does an excellent job at removing dust and dirt from floors. My favorite thing about this vacuum is how lightweight it is. I literally can pick the canister up by its handle with one finger. The controls for this vacuum are conveniently located on the handle. This particular canister vacuum comes with two attachments. A decent sized crevice tool and a nice upholstery tool. The power head comes with the unit as well. I tried my attachments from my vertex lift away and they fit and work with the canister! The canister glides on 4 caster wheels and moves great. It also has a 25 ft retractable cord. The Shark Canister Pet is a high quality vacuum that’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. I give this vacuum an A+! In my humble opinion Shark makes the best household vacuums on the market today! I truly love all three of my Shark vacuums, and wouldn’t want any other vacuum! Thank you Shark for making a canister vacuum, and for making my household vacuuming chore easier to tackle!
