Poor vacuum cleaner

This is the second shark vacuum like this we have owned both have only lasted just over two years, ti is not a good quality vacuum cleaner at all, it just stops all of a sudden and thats it we keep the machine clean including the filters, i would not recommend this product at all it is the upright pet vacuum

Surprisingly Outstanding!

I thought my carpets were not too bad until I bought this pet hair vacuum, in the hopes it would more easily pick up the dog hair, both fine and course from our Rotti and Beagle. To my surprise it picked up sooo much more, which I hadn't even realised how much I was leaving in the carpet before. This really is a fabulous vacuum cleaner for pet hair and as an added bonus, it sweeps/sucks up all of the little chips of firewood, which fall onto the carpet when stacking the wood next to the fireplace in wintertime. My other vacuum used to get clogged up from them ALL THE TIME!

Poor build quality

Just passed 27 months and now has completely died. Within the first year had power cord bracket break, few months later the handle lock broke and shortly after that the stand up lock mechanism started to give out. Vacuum itself does good job, however poor build quality.

Hard working Shark performs brilliantly

Had this about 3 months now and very satisfied. We have 3 dogs and two cats and live in a rural location - so lots of dust and pollen. The Shark handles it all brilliantly - cant believe the very fine dust it picks up. Need to clean the filters more frequently than recommended but that is very easy job. The self clean brush roll works very well. Have had many other makes of cleaners in the past and so far would rate the Shark better that all the others and excellent vfm.
