Elegant, early 70’s style with dress watch Vibes!

A good looking watch with a rich, blue sunburst dial & high polished applied indices. This watch definitely leans more towards the dress watch end of the spectrum, in large part due to the high polished case & watch strap. Personally, I’d have much preferred a brushed finish on the vertical surfaces of the watch case, & on the outer link of the bracelet. This would have greatly contributed to balancing out the look of the watch, given more detailed interest, & increased its versatility between dress & high-casual wear. All in, although, this is a very stylish watch with un design elements that make it stand out from the crowd. I cannot comment on the quality of the movement inside, as I traditionally avoid quartz movements. However, this piece caught my eye, and I could not be happier with its design aesthetic & wrist presence. I think Skagen manages to separate itself from many of the other fashion watch brands by maintaining a clear focus on design integrity. They’re one of the few brands selling in this space whose name recognition & design heritage could realistically transition to a more upmarket product line if a commitment to higher quality materials were pursued.
