Knife block

These are a Christmas present. I opened them to make sure everything was there, and they are stunning! Can not wait to see this on our daughters counter.

Gorgeous...But

These are gorgeous. I also like that the block is narrow. One neg bout the block is that plenty space is needed if under the cabinets as the knives must be pulled straight out. I also wonder how far the metal from the blades extends into the handle. I hope they don't break on me. I wish the knives were stronger and sturdier.

broke

I purchased these but two knives have already broken. one of them that broke I used to cut a tender cucumber and it broke in two pieces. stains very easy too.
