Follow the directions on how to wash.

The booklet contains how to wash this set, it clearly states to wash by hand with a detergent that does not contain citrus and promptly dry. Follow the directions and they'll last for years. Beautiful set.

Do not buy these!!!

After washing this set once in a standard dishwasher, I noticed rust spots. The second time I notice that the serrated edges of the knives were rusting. If that weren't enough, some of the handle edges were sharp. I bought this set for the price and the detail in the handles, but the quality is very poor. I am returning them today. Don't buy them.
