Excellent high end TV
What a beautiful picture on this TV. Coming from a 60" Pioneer Plasma I am very picky about motion handling and processing. Nothing to worry about here. The picture quality on 1080 and 720 sources is excellent, and wirh native 4k content the picture is outstanding. Plenty of pop and contrast here without looking too artificial. The colors and picture are very cinematic feeling. NO HDMI EARC/ARC glitches through my AVR system. Great reception for OTA stations with nextgen tech make sports broadcasts look awesome. I will say i found the power cord on the short side. That is probably my only criticism.

I purchased this TV as a necessity from breaking a previous set. I am well aware of the strengths of Sony's processing, but I was not expecting quite such a jump in picture quality. This set has taken position where my second TV a Sony ZD9 master series TV from a few years back and the differences are stark! The backlight control is significantly better despite having 25% less zones for the local dimming. The anti reflective screen does a great job of allowing for a sharper more contrasting image and the off angle viewing is a significant step forward. The colours are wonderfully balanced and very dynamic with both SDR and HDR content and the motion is close to flawless. How the set interacts with a playstation 5 was seamless. Mapping out the settings upon recognising the connection. Simply blown away by how good the set is. Highly recommend a Sony to anyone!

No WiFi, No TV Channels
Basically, if your WiFi is turned off, then you can't watch TV channels through your TV aerial on this TV. It will only let you watch, the last channel you were watching. To be able to change TV channels, I have to go downstairs, and turn on the WiFi. For some reason Sony have made this TV, so that you can't watch TV through your aerial, when the WiFi is not switched on. You would think that a TV this expensive would be able to do a simple, basic, straight forward thing, like letting you watch TV, without having to switch on the WiFi first. It's ridiculous. I have no interest in watching Netflix etc. I just want to watch TV channels that I get through my aerial. So I've had to resort to ordering a Freeview HD box. Just so that I can watch TV channels through the TV aerial, without having to switch the WiFi on all the time.

To watch FreeView channels, it only requires an aerial to be connected to your TV to get the FreeView channels. A lot brighter than the 2015 sony i had and app come on faster, the click to switch on and off seems a bit more positive (louder) but that's ok as old one was a bit dodgy
