Great design but only if half full

Love the design and simplicity of this napkin holder. But, if it is full and you take a napkin from the end "spot," as one normally would, it is ripped by the edges of the unfinished circle. If you try to remove one from the middle, it doesn't work. I am going to try and remove a small stack so the napkin holder isn't quite full; see if it works better.
