pilling after one washing

This is comfy and fits me well, but I don't think it's going to last very long. After the first washing (cold, gentle) it's already pilling quite a bit. I paid half-price so it's still worth it for an everyday sweater. FWIW, I didn't expect it to be top-quality since it is all synthetic, so I'm not really disappointed.
