not supported with parts or service

It is a very nice little tiller. I got 3 years worth or work out of it. The seals in the gearbox wore out because there were some weeds that wrapped around the axles. This happens a lot with tillers and is a pretty common problem with most seals around rotating shafts. I now have a pretty good gearbox oil leak and need to replace the seals. There is no illustrated parts breakdown for the unit. No parts are available to make the repair and there is nowhere to take the unit in for repair. Support after the sale is unfortunately does not exist and if there is a problem then repairs are not possible and the unit is scrap

This Cultivator/Tiller is a POWER HOUSE!

What a little power house and work horse! As a female, it felt like it was going to rip my arms off, which once I figured out how to handle it, it worked out okay. I would like information in the owner's manual about replacement part numbers, so I know exactly which parts to order. The first use, yesterday, bent a blade on a big rock that was buried under ground. I couldn't see it. I just moved from the south where soil is sandy to the north where it's red clay and rocky. I wasn't sure this little gem could handle the load. It certainly did and now that I know I can adjust the wheels it should do even better! For the problems I had- I would say, making the handle grips/handle bars adjustable so short people can use it as well, would be nice. Also, the handle grips are way too bulky, thick, large to hold on to for smaller hands and the trigger switch is too far forward making it difficult to hold onto, if you have smaller hands as well, especially while the tiller bouncing, vibrating and in movement causing me to accidentally release the trigger switch repeatedly which is annoying. Also, I ended up being in a LOT of pain from how difficult it is to hold on to these large, bulky handle grips while trying to till each row, causing me to have to take several breaks and that reduces productivity. I have deducted a star for all of these reasons. I've just broken ground on my 30x15 garden bed and plan to do more! Overall, I recommend it. Even with the pain it causes from the awkward handle grips, I still love it. Including photos! Note: The soil appears black however, it is red clay as you can see in my neighbors garden in one of the photos. The reason mine appears darker is because the previous owners had several horses here which enriched/amended the soil and made it much more fertile than my neighbor, but trust that it is in fact red clay. (Nevermind- Sun Joe will not allow me to add photos.)

Major Workhorse

I've been using mine for 5 years now. I chose this one because of the 13 amp motor. The more amperage a motor is drawing the more powerful it is. This will dig as hard and deeps as you are strong enough to hang onto it! One heck of a workhorse. You'll need to use a 12 gauge extension cord because of the amperage draw. The 2 prong plug on the machine is polarized so there is no concern about the 3rd ground wire. I would like to see an edging attachment for this!

Wonderful Powerful Little Green Giant

I wasn't sure if this little electric tiller could till my garden because I have (had) some old creeping shrub roots that come in from the woods, and my garden had never been tilled before. I began years ago with a lasagna style garden and made the mistake of putting old straw on top. For years I have been dealing with huge clusters of deeply rooted mats of oat grass. I also let the garden lay fallow for a year and was having massive problems with weeds last summer. I hurt my shoulder and couldn't pull weeds. I tried burning them, but a couple weeks later they were back up. By the time I did my research and got my Sun Joe 13.5 amp. 16" wide electric tiller, those weeds were 2 feet tall. I highly recommend trimming down the weeds or grass first to help prevent the inevitable tangle that forms on the tiller blades. I was AMAZED at how tough this little tiller is, and how easy it was to operate, even with my previous shoulder injury. If you are worried about the electric cord, all you have to do is let go of the "gas" and it stops immediately. As soon as you press the trigger it is running strong again. Now I think about all that green goodness being tilled into the soil making it rich with nitrogen and other mineral's. I am actually looking forward to tilling again where needed.

A Bargain buy that continues to impress

Was visiting the BIN Plus store in Galveston when I saw this tiller/cultivator and got it for a great price. Had a large tree removed and stump ground - the soil here is basically clay with a small mix of sand add saw dust and tree particles and you have a need for something that can do a lot of work with ease and this product does.

VERY GOOD PRODUCT

I bought this tiller for a couple of projects. project one is to help get my patio in place it has more than enough power to accomplish task and digs great one thing and this is not a complaint more of a piece of advice being so light it you hit a root or rock at will jump with you now my only complaint the tines cannot be separated so tilling over growing plants or making smaller rows will be difficult.

Very impressed - considered 5 stars

This is a very good tiller. Much easier to control than gas powered ones I have used. Tills very well, going deeper than I would have expected. Quite impressed. Wish there were side plates available so it would till along lawn without throwing dirt out the sides.
