My Favorite Hat

So, this is my signature hat. I am a female fishing guide and it took me a long time to find the right hat. The Vivian is THAT hat. I am hard on my hats, so I'll say I go through one of these hats every 2-3 years.  Things I love about this hat: The floppiness protects my face and neck from the sun, it's stylish and feminine, I can tighten the stampede strap when the wind kicks up.  Things I don't love: The stampede strap is leather and wears out over time. The bead wears the strap out and Sunday Afternoon have replaced the hat for me because of this, but with my last one, I ended up repairing it myself with a much stronger material. Also, when the hat gets a little wet, it smells like a horse.

Women have large heads, too!

A super stylish hat that I was thrilled to add to my chapeau repertoire. Imagine my chagrin when, like so many before it, I brought it to rest upon my noggin only to find that it was not up to the task of containing the girth of the substantial melon north of my shoulders. I am hoping that in time the felt may mold to my dome, but alas, thus far it just ejects itself from my head like so many broken dreams tossed asunder. Sunday afternoons, I implore: women with large heads enjoy fashion, too! Please offer aesthetically pleasing hats in larger sizes!

Exactly what I wanted.

I'd been scouring the internet in search of a hat like Stephenie LaGrossa's in Survivor: Guatemala. Opted for grey in lieu of brown and couldn't be more pleased!

Great sun hat for winter
