Please remove this from shelves

If you’re looking before purchasing…please don’t buy it. Bought this today and quickly realized this wasn’t made for children to assemble. It’s neat putting together the separate mechanisms, but like every other review states…the hydraulics ruin the toy. The claw lowers and only raises half way. The claw opens but doesn’t even attempt to close. My little guy was incredibly excited to have his own claw machine but now he’s just disappointed. B&N should be ashamed to have this on their shelves.

Worst and most frustrating toy ever.

Do not buy this toy. I should have read the reviews before I purchased this for my daughter. This took her several hours to build and then my engineer husband also tried to build it and it never worked. So frustrating and cheaply made.

DO NOT BUY!!

Absolute worst toy purchase I ever made. My biggest mistake was not checking any reviews for this toy before buying. 99% of reviews give it a one star because after spending hours building, it simply doesn't work. The major problem is that it uses some hydraulics for the claw to move up/down and open/close but no matter what you do, it doesn't work. Followed all instructions, but would not go back up and moving down AND claw would open but never close...basically making the entire toy useless. My child was so excited for this toy only to be completely disappointed because it wouldn't even work once. I desperately want to return the toy to BN but they don't allow returns on opened items. PLEASE TAKE THIS TOY OFF THE SHELVES!

VERY poor quality

My husband spent 2.5 hours assembling this. There’s no way our kids could do this. After wasting all that time, the package was missing 2 crucial pieces. It is such a cheap, flimsy piece of junk.

Does not work

This toy was very difficult to assemble, but worst than that, it simply does not work. It depends on a hydraulic system to raise/lower and open/close the claw, but the claw refuses to close once opened. We disassembled and reassembled it multiple times and tried the purported solutions offered in the online troubleshooting video, all to no avail. This turned out to be nothing more than an expensive and time-consuming disappointment.

If I could give one star, I would

Horrible gift for a child. The pieces are tiny and break so easily during assembly. After 6 hours of building, nothing works.
