Not her best

This was my seventh Darcy Coates book, and the only one I’ve struggled to get through. The story dragged, and I never felt invested in it or the characters. If you’ve never read any of her work, get The Haunting of Ashburn House instead.

Average

I expected to like this more as I had completely adored From Below but this story felt extremely average. The plot didn’t go anywhere I wasn’t already expecting, it lacked the oomph & creepiness of underwater zombies lol. Not my favorite but that will not deter me from reading more Darcy Coates.

Amazing Read

I absolutely loved this book. I never wanted to put it down and it was so captivating that I would think about it throughout the day- super excited to pick it up again! If you are a fan of horror/thriller books- you should 100% give this a read.

I was addicted to this book!! You can’t put it down once you start it! The romance in this book was great, too! I would recommend this to anyone who loves horror/suspense novels.

Darcy’s best, in my opinion

This book is a ride. So we’ll written. There wasn’t a moment I didn’t feel I was there in the house with this group of people. The ending was phenomenal which isn’t an easy thing to find when reading ghost stories. It’s hard to top this one so I recommend reading some of her other work first!

Started good, then went kinds eh

I LOVE anything horror and thriller. I’ve never read a Darcey Coates book, but the covers and titles always intrigued me. I did some research and found that this is her scariest book. It was really well written, and I absolutely loved it in the beginning… up until the end. I didn’t realize it was a YA horror novel until I was towards the end. Had the ending been different and not how it was, I would loved it.

Paranormal wonder

Haven’t picked up a book and read it cover to cover on my own in quite a while. When I was looking for something to reignite my love for books I knew I wanted something paranormal but didn’t know where to start and picked this book up on a whim. To my surprise I started reading and couldn’t put it down. I read the whole book in 4 days after taking months to read books for school
