Poignant For How Profound It Is

This was a great lesson for kids about balance. A profoundly appropriate story for the time in which we live, this book reminds kids to get outside. So many are dependent - and addicted to - technology. It's a lovely tale showing kids that you can't your devices be all there is to life - there's more to living than virtual realities. I love the word play and artwork. It is appropriate and enjoyable for all age readers - parents reading to little, tots not yet independent readers, and middle grade book lovers. Definitely a great story that has universal appeal and meaning!

Hilarious and Perfect for Storytime!

We love all of Jory John's books (Giraffe Problems, First Day Critter Jitters and The Good Egg being our favorites) and he does it again. Pete Oswald has such recognizable art that my son gravitates towards these books like magic. We'll be reading "Couch Potato" quite a bit in these coming weeks.
