My sister-in-law gave me the first two. I didn't think I was going to like them because I was just never really interested in that stuff. It took me almost a month before I was bored enough to read them so I picked one up and started reading. Chapter 1 was really slow because it was the beginning of her telling about herself and the history behind the hunger games. I kept reading into chapter 2, it was just as slow in the beginning because it was following the history of the games and then when I got to the end of chapter 2 it was a cliffhanger which made me want to read more. As I kept reading it was like that every chapter and I got hooked on it. I couldn't put the book down ever unless it was necessary. After I finished reading the first book I started reading the second book and it was the same cliffhanger every other chapter. Along with the suspense I loved how a relationship developed between two characters who were never friends before and only passed each other in the halls of school. One of them saved the other's life in a way and she won’t forget that throughout the whole book. It was the best when I finished the second book. I really wanted to read the third one so I got it from the library and read it. I was pretty busy at the time I was trying to read it so I don't remember it very well but one day I will re-read it again when I'm less busy. I give this book series a 5/5 rating. I highly recommend this book if you like suspense and love and the test of trust between two people. There is some violent parts in it but onot super violent.
