A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER An equal parts haunting and hilarious deep-dive review of history's most notorious and cold-blooded serial killers, from the creators of the award-winning Last Podcast on the Left Since its first show in 2010, The Last Podcast on the Left has barreled headlong into all things horror, as hosts Henry Zebrowski, Ben Kissel, and Marcus Parks cover subjects spanning Jeffrey Dahmer, werewolves, Jonestown, and supernatural phenomena. Deeply researched but with a morbidly humorous bent, the podcast has earned a dedicated and aptly cultlike following for its unique take on all things macabre. In their first book, the guys take a deep dive into history's most infamous serial killers, from Ted Bundy to John Wayne Gacy, exploring their origin stories, haunting habits, and perverse predilections. Featuring newly developed content alongside updated fan favorites, each profile is an exhaustive examination of the darker side of human existence. With appropriately creepy four-color illustrations throughout and a gift-worthy paper over board format, The Last Book on the Left will satisfy the bloodlust of readers everywhere.

Loved it!

I have never listened to the authors' podcast, but I have always heard good buzz about the show. This book is an anthology, of sorts, that covers a different serial killer in each chapter. Very interesting and in an engaging format, true crime trivia, with a dark sense of humor and snark thrown in, this is my kind of entertainment. True Crime and Humor can be a tough combination to pull off, but this group does a great job. Not for the easily offended. I really enjoyed this book as an introduction to the podcasters and I hope there is another book soon! ***I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.***

Fantastic Book!

I will first preface this because I am biased, becasue I've been a fan of the "Last Podcast on the Left". I pre-ordered this book when I heard they (Mainly Marcus) were writing a book, and it is truly one of my favorites! The book is very detailed and well, researched, like the podcast, and I love the structure of the book. It is written how one of their podcast episodes would commence. I think this book would be great for true crime fans, be great for LPOTL fans, or be great for someone who likes really amazing art and an interesting and funny read. Hail Yourselves, and I'm excited for more great content.

A cool companion to the podcast

Obviously I'm biased as this comes from the guys behind my favorite podcast, but I tried to be objective, and I think it's a great book. It's a guide to some of serial killing's "heavy hitters," as the LPotL guys call them. Even if you've listened to the episodes about these particular killers, there's still some new info in the book. If you're not familiar with the podcast, then it might not be for you. However, if you like a dose of levity with your true crime, then you might want to check it out. Hail yourselves.
