Second time buying

This jacket looks good and feels nice. The inner layer stretches so my movements are not restricted. I bought the black one and I wish that the logo on the outershell was white, I also think the hoodie should be detechable and I also wish the hoodie could have some inner layer so that the cold nylon won't touch my head. other than that this is a good jacket. I am 5'5 and weigh 155 pounds, I recommend a large so your movements won't be restricted. I tried a medium and it was a tight fit. I couldn't even sit down without opening the jacket to give me space to breathe. I can't pull over my hoodie when I zip up the medium all the way so its anoyying and I look dumb lol

Questionable Ski Rating

Was headed up to Canada for a week of skiiing and wanted to replace my down Gotham Parka for the slopes while remaining on a budget. Used a dry fit long sleeve shirt and light weight Northface Fleece as my under garments. Got to the top of mountain which was was 11 degrees. I felt warm while standing still but once we started moving you could feel the wind pass through. Not what I would call good for skiing but I managed through the day. As for fit I am 6'5" and 225lbs with a average build. Jacket was not tight on me even with the two layers underneath. When lifting arms sleeves would slide up considerably. I would like to have gone down a size to tighten things up a bit but the sleeves would have been even shorter. Overall it's a good jacket but I would consider this a warmer weather jacket for skiing.

Best purchase!

Great Jacket, highly recommended. Not too heavy. Great jacket to wear year long without having to purchase a separate jacket for winter n cold summer nights. Plus you can never go wrong with a jacket covered under lifetime warranty! With Northface, you always get your moneys worth.

Classic/Rugged Style

This jacket will come in great use this season for my son (14 -Adult small- 110 pounds - 5'5 ) who enjoys playing snow football with friends. Although we are not a ski family, the extreme cold this winter in he Northeast requires a jacket and pants that will fit the bill and keep him warm when he chooses to ignore really how cold it is outside! (not a fleece half zipped, hat lost in the snow and soaked fleece sweatpants). I feel confident this will keep him warm and he likes the fit and the classic look.
