Definitely

I use it for offshore fishing and it gives me great protection plus it is waterproof.The rim does not get saggy like my other hats

Solved my hearing issue

I have such a hard time hearing when I have a hood on. Especially when it rains. Normally, I have to take down my hood in order to hear properly. Then water runs down the back of my jacket. It just makes for a miserable day. This hat really fixed that. I was able to communicate with ease and it kept me dry.
