exhilarating, page turner, enjoyable read

When picking up this book. The first thing that caught my eye was the massive frog on the cover. With big beaming eyes and a nice sweet smile. On the other side was a mean looking, red eyed scary wolf. To very different looking characters in my opinion. Now I thought to myself, my would these to characters be on the front cover, the next thing that caught my eye were the two kids flying in the air. Their faces looking sacred and puzzled, and would quite like to hear how they ended up in that mess. Land of Stories is the first of a rather amazing genre and is so fascinating. The Land of Stories tells the tale of twins Alex and Conner. Through the mysterious powers of a cherished book of stories, they leave their world behind and find themselves in a foreign land full of wonder and magic where they come face-to-face with fairy tale characters they grew up reading about. Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell Review | Heights Forum The message of the book is fundamentally a tried and true one that we have heard in another fairy tale: “There's no place like home!” Loyalty to friends, the importance of family, the triumph of good over evil in the end, are all themes of the book. It is a book that young readers greatly enjoy. The reason I loved this book so much is because of the amount of mystery, the amount of enjoyment, and the amount of time I've spent on this series. You know that this is a good book because you want to know more about it and spend more money. What is even better is that it is age appropriate for so many kids to enjoy. A new article that interviewed the author of Land of Stories states, This collection follows the adventures of twins Alex and Connor as they enter a world full of fairy-tale characters such as The Wicked Witch of the West, Captain Hook, Sleeping Beauty and many more. This fantastic collection is perfect for children aged 9+ with an interest in fairy tales and fantasy. The land of stories can strike you with so many different feelings and emotions. Love, hate, loss, forgiveness, friendships, and so much more. A book like that is so good for so many kids. Teaching kids about how to behave, and how good it is to have friends that support you. The land of stories is such a page turner and it really twists your mind and feelings about your love and your connection to the world. After reading the book it encourage me to read the next and then whole series. So I really do encourage other to read this book and series, for their sake because their imagination will grow even larger.

Amazing Book!

The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer is a fantastic novel. It features incredible details, figurative language, and an insight into most of our favorite childhood books. Not to mention, this book was the number 1 New York Times bestseller and was entitled one of Barnes & Noble's Best Books of 2012. Personally, I really love the author’s creativity that he puts in the book and how impactful this book can be for the readers. This book is a fictional book that is told from the point of view of two siblings: Alex and Conner Bailey, who are twelve years old. The problem was that both siblings lost their dad in a car accident about a year ago, in addition to being trapped in a book their grandmother gave them for their birthday. To escape, they needed to find various materials to make the Wishing Spell, which caused even more obstacles the siblings had to face, such as facing the Evil Queen and finding difficult to obtain ingredients for the Wishing Spell. They meet various characters from various stories, such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, and they visited famous places, such as the place of Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel’s tower. I really loved the amount of creativity Chris Colfer put into this book. He put a map at the beginning of the book to help the readers visualize the setting and how the world inside the book is arranged. Also, I loved the way he incorporated different childhood fairytales, which helped make this book more relatable and enjoyable to me. The action in this novel never ceases to amaze me because it always keeps me on the edge of my seat. One lesson I learned from this book is that there is always more to discover in life. Connor and Alex never knew of the world ahead of them, and when they get into that world, they realize there is so much action. Overall, I really loved this book because of how much effort Chris Colfer put into this book and how relatable and impactful this book can be. The Land of Stories incorporated lots of details and exciting plots that made this book a delightful read. I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in fiction or who loves childhood fairytales. This book is a must-read and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Amazing Read, Magical Plot, Very Engrossing People

This book was enchanting to me. I love how Colfer portrays that anyone can still read and enjoy fairytales no matter how grown up you think you are. Even as a child my grandmother and I used to make and tell each other fairy tales and seeing two little kids' fairy tales come to life in this book really made me happy. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a little magic spark in their life or wants to read about other people's magical endings. I also really enjoy how the stories aren't very typical here. We get to see some fairy tale endings we wouldn't expect to ever even exist if it wasn't for this book. This book is most definitely five stars for me!!!
