Different fit than Sullivan Jean Pants

I love the style however they are too big for my 4 year, he’s on the small side and I thought that the shorts would fit like the Sullivan jeans pants but they have a different fit. I adjusted the elastic on the inside of the waist and they were still too big. I will save them for next season because they are really cute Jean shorts with great quality.
