I have bought this set during the holiday and when I cooked with it everything sticks to it. I would not recommend to anyone.
cookware itself is fantastic, SS pots not for us
Our nonstick cookware is 10 years old and needs to be retired. I did some research about different types of cookware and though Stainless Steel has a learning curve we decided to go all in with this set because there's no coating with any kind of forever chemicals AND it's dishwasher safe so you can really kind of beat it up. And Tramontina shows up on nearly every listicle as a good value brand if you're not trying to pay for something insane like hexclad/all clad. Cooking on the pans took some YouTube videos and reddit posts, but I was able to get to the Leidenfrost effect heat level, add butter, and fry up eggs with no sticking -- great! Husband cooked on one of the pans (sloppy Joe) and there was a little sticking but any staining came right off with some barkeeper's friend. Huzzah. We are sold! One downside of SS we were not at all prepared for is how poor a heat conductor it is when it comes to water, especially since all of the instructions and everything you read online says not to use high heat. The truth of the matter is it takes like 30 minutes to boil a pot of water ramping up from a minute at medium heat, then turning it up a little bit every 5-10 mins or so after we noticed zero difference, ending up on a higher heat setting (5 on our knobs). With the 8qt pot with the strainer inside the pot, as the water boiled (water level was filled up to the top row of holes in the strainer), it started coming between the strainer and pot and I didn't love that... I wish there were instructions just for the strainer/8qt pot like that it's okay to use high heat eventually after a quick preheat on medium heat, do I leave the strainer in while heating the water (I assumed yes because shocking stainless steel with temperature changes is what can warp it), what water level to use if using the strainer, etc. Same experience with smaller pots in terms of water taking forever to boil. Hulk sad. Talking to a chef in our family, he recommended having some other kind of pot (nonstick even, if that's what we like) for pasta unless we are going to be boiling long big batches all the time to where it makes sense getting water started over 30 minutes and then once it's rolling just using that same water again and again. As a family of 3 I just need a pot of water to boil fast to make my toddler macaroni and cheese sometimes and I am rarely using a pot to *cook* food that doesn't involve a water/liquid base to it, so SS pots just didn't seem to be for us and I am sadly going to return this gorgeous set. I do think I will buy pans separately from Tramontina just because I loved the pans and handles. My only complaint about the pans is the 12 inch pan has only like a 10 inch base to it because of the flaring of the sides of the pan. So I could only make 3 pancakes at once in the largest pan vs. 4 pancakes at once in our previous 12 inch nonstick pan. That problem could be solved with a nonstick griddle pan though so I think I will still end up with Tramontina SS pans, but nonstick pots, and just have a mismatched set because that's what we need for our lifestyle. Overall, a high quality set with comfortable handles and amazing cooking quality if you can master the technique of cooking with SS. If you need water to boil fast though, I'd recommending purchasing individual items in SS and individual items in some other material that are better for that purpose... not an entire set of cookware.

Do Not Buy
Very poor quality of stainless steel. Disappointed . We ended up having to buy a whole new set of steel pots and pans. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Great feature
This set is beautiful and elegant. Excellent for a lovely cookware upgrade or even a wedding gift. Although it's not non-stick, it's easy to clean and the pan won't scratch with a steel wool pad.
