My favorite book

I love this book so so much! Everything from the history of the protagonist to the slow burn of the murders. Every little thing is a clue and you have to crack the case before its too late. 10/10 WOULD ALWAYS RECOMMEND

So good

Ellery and Ezra move from California to Vermont to live with their grandmother, Nana, while their mother is in rehab. Nana lives only a short distance from the Fright Farm theme park, formerly known as Murderland, where 5 years ago, the homecoming queen was found dead. 20 years earlier, Ellery and Ezra's aunt disappeared on homecoming night. Now Ellery is on the ballot for homecoming queen and threats are being received telling everyone Murderland, Part 2 is coming. Now another girl on the ballot for homecoming is missing. Is history repeating itself? Is it the original killer? Is it a copycat? There are so many twists and turns in this book. Ellery and Ezra become friends with Malcolm whose brother was the boyfriend of the girl murdered five years earlier. The town turned against him. He is now back in town. Ellery is into true crime and shares her theories of the past and the current happenings with Malcolm. I'm not saying whether she's right or wrong. Malcolm's stepsister, Katrine, is the girl expected to be this year's homecoming queen. Ellery has questions about Malcolm especially since he was the last person to see the missing girl. I liked Malcolm, Ellery, and Ezra. I also liked Mia, Malcolm's friend. I did not like Katrine and her group. I liked Nana's worry about Ellery and homecoming. It was interesting how no one talked about Ellery's aunt, Sarah. The mystery was so good. I needed Ellery to show me the way to the murderer. I was shocked, especially with one of the last sentences in the book. This book is worth the read. It is so good!

So good!!

I’m not a reader, never have been. BUT this book was too good to put down! The last sentence will haunt me for a while.. Really good young adult/teen crime read! Well written with the different POVs and really enjoyable! Can’t wait to read the One of Us is Lying next!

I think this book is good for beginners

Karen M. McManus is one of my favorite authors. After reading One Of Us Is Lying, I had to pick up this book! Honestly, I feel like this book is good but not the best mystery/thriller book that I've read. However, this book would be perfect for those who are just getting into mystery/thriller books. To me, there were times when I felt the thrill in the book, especially towards the end. There were some moments in the book that were very predictable and obvious which I don't mind. I like how the story was told from two perspectives of the characters and I like their character development. I was shocked at the end because of the plot twist. I definitely didn't see that coming! The chapters weren't that long and I like how the book gets straight to the suspense. I don't want to spoil the book for those who haven't read the book yet but it is a pretty good YA (Young Adult) book about teens solving a cold case and a current case. Echo Ridge is a small town with murder and deep, dark secrets!

Didn’t expect the ending

I bought this because I loved the “One of Us is Lying” series and wanted to check out what the other books the author has. It was a bit of a slow start, the first 7ish chapter were a bit boring but as I continued to read it was very interesting because of all the twist to the point where I never expected the ending. I had thought so many times that I new who the killer was but I was wrong continuously. I noticed either this author that she never gives out to much information that could give the reader the answer until the very end. Great book but like I said for me it was a slow start and I had to get passed 10 chapter before it fully interested me.
