BUYER BEWARE
As a designer myself, I am usually drawn to innovative designs, but also know that "form follow function" (Bauhaus) and that, first of all, a design must be functional. I found UMBRA while searching the Internet for "blackout rods". Up popped Twilight Rod and Flex Shower Rings, which I bought. Two rods and twenty-four rings arrived and were installed. During installation, I noticed that two of the rings failed, in the following way: The curved metal piece goes down into the flexible material that forms a "U" shaped tube at the bottom. The metal piece ends at about 7 o'clock; and the remaining part of the tube material is very flexible (since there is no metal in that part). It is where that metal end meets the tube material itself (at about 7 o'clock) that the failure occurred. The metal end pushed through the flexible material, slicing it open, on two of the rings. The metal end (now visible) looked just like the other end of the metal piece, which means it was shaped like a dull (not pointed) projectile that apparently with little effort could push through the soft flexible material of the tube. Perhaps a metal ball on that end of the metal piece would have prevented that end of the metal from serving as a projectile that punctured the soft material. The flexible part of the tube is meant to be flexed but it appears that the act of flexing the material perhaps contributed to the failure. I would say "Buyer Beware": this product is not ready for prime time.

Great shower rings with unique design
These rings have a flexible bottom so they slide easily over a rod. Thus far they stay in place better than other rings I have tried.

Not functional hooks
These are very nice to look at when you remove from the box, but it stops there. The flexible J hook splits as you put it on the shower rod. If you are not careful, the top of the hook scratches the rod, because the end is not finished. I do not recommend this item for purchase. see photos

Beautifully simple...
I no longer hate to change my shower curtains because the rings doesn't have to be closed and they have a silicon coating. Who knew these even exist???

Functional shower hooks with a great design
We used these shower hooks in our sons’ and daughters’ bathrooms. They are nice-looking hooks, glide easily on the shower poles and stay on both shower curtains. So far, a great product!

Beautiful and easy to use! Can't go wrong!
I bought these (grey ones) a couple of months ago to replace my old bead style rings. They slide across the curtain rod very smoothly. Gonna buy another set for my newly renovated shower.
