Loved!

I loved the vulnerability, I feel a lot of people can relate to having mental health struggles and it was cool to tap into his life with his friends and how he’s managed his mental health. This book isn’t a key to solve your health issues but a way to laugh through the gray. 10/10

Disappointed in Dr. Phil

Wow, I am so glad I read the opening information in this book. If I had five cents for every F--- word that was used on the first 10 pages, I could take a much needed cruise. After watching Dr. Phil review this book on his show and saying he read it in one night, I was so anxious to buy this book for my daughter-in-law. I was so disappointed when I read those 10 pages that this author is a joke and a wanna-be famous person. He will never make it if he doesn't clean up his act.

Very Surface level

My mom got me this book because she seen Jay Glazer doing press on TV. My mom always tries to look out for me, but she bases a lot of things from what she sees on TV. I am used to reading books and literature based on facts, depth, and intrigue. Jay's book seems superficial with all the name dropping and all the cool things he's done in his life, but he doesn't get into the root causes of his mental health issues or exactly how he's overcome them. It seems that he is a high functioning person with mental health problems, and the book illustrates how he maybe scattered brained or has problems processing information. I did not want to write anything bad, but I am upset on how uses marketing techniques and press runs to sell his book, and is using the label of mental health as a ploy to get readers. It is better to buy a book from a reputable person who knows about mental health or has proven to have overcome internal obstacles like David Goggins; not just someone who feels open to let out all of their feelings with no substance. I hope that Jay can write something better in the future.
