As usual quality well made in Germany item.
Just like any of the Made in Germany functional arts, (that is what these items are to me, yes they are functional but they are well made beautiful works of arts, that is made with love and care, which btw is getting rarer and rarer by the minute, as even this company now has most of its items made in countries the are definitely not Germany. Having said that this item is one of the many items that I have bought from V&B, I wish I can buy everything they ever made (obviously just the ones made in Germany,) so needless to say these item is not only well made, but every detail is paid attention to, from the packaging, to how the barcode sticker is affixed on each plate/cup/or whatever the item is, one thing that stands out is how easily the sicker comes of easily, (unlike the stickers on mass produced similar cheap items, where you pretty much need a glue remover and many washings just to get rid of a sticker, an item that should never been affixed in such a way in the first place.) The point is I can't tell you how well made and quality the item is, as you have to buy it for yourself to find out and experience the joy I experience from owning and using these items. Nevertheless, one thing that struck me is, I am not kidding even my favorite noodles seem to taste better when I ate them out of this plate. I am not sure if it has to do with the design of it, I am assuming similar to the design of quality wine glasses, as they usually are designed to enhance the taste of wine, I am assuming similar design must be at work here, which btw is the type of attention to detail that you will never get from mass produced, not to mention made by people who have not only no business making such items, but have no clue what it is that they are doing and or making, as evidence by the final product. Now about the item itself, it is like a large sized shallow bowl like dinner plate, sturdy (unlike cheap made items which crack and break from just being handled, this item withstands some knocking that would shatter any other similar cheaply made item.) More importantly, it looks and feels the quality well made item that it is. Thank you, makers of such quality items at Vileroy & Boch. Thank you for your made in Germany product which is a joy to use and to own.

Bit like a seconds plate than first…
One of the set has a little hard bump bobble of clay sticking out of the glazed smoothie plate. But I can’t be bothered to return it due to various reasons. The rest are all fine. I like the design but the fruits look a bit odd like they were captured digitally and painted on as opposed to hand painted imo… pretty good plates overall tho .
