Disappointed
I was looking forward to this and I really wanted to like it. I loved the minimalist design and the shapes. When I looked at all the pieces I noticed so many things wrong: the knives looked liked they were not properly polished, the spoons looked like someone did a very poor job polishing and ended up scratching them, and the hostess set has dents and scratches as well. The boxes did not look like they had ever been opened so I was surprised about the poor quality. This almost looks like it is something I would be able to purchase at the factory store or a place that sells faulty items. Unfortunately, I will return this.
Beautiful
The flatware looks beautiful with both holiday and everyday dishes. They have a good weight and are well balanced so feel good to handle.
Love this flatware
I had my eye on this flatware for a while. It was only available online and not in stores. The store carries a similar design by another company, but it wasn't 18/10, which was very important to me. Flatware that is 18/10 is a higher quality and is supposed to resist pitting in the dishwasher. I didn't like ordering this without seeing it or holding it first, but I finally decided that this set was the one I wanted, and I had looked around for a while before making my decision. I am extremely happy I purchased it. It is much heavier than my old set, and is bigger also. It feels very comfortable in my hands. It washes very well in the dishwasher and comes out clean and shiny and no pitting at all. I feel the design is a classic design which won't look dated in a few years. I also feel this set is durable enough to last until I no longer need to use it, which the first set lasted almost 30 years, I'm set for life with this set! I also feel it is special enough to use for a special occasion dinner party, it looks that great.
