Bad customer service Macy's

I ordered a medium size jacket online which is a bit bigger than I expected. I went to a Macy's store to exchange the size from M to S. But I was unable to do that because of its price discrepancy. I bought this when it was on sale but when I went to exchange the size now I have to pay the original price. I didn't like macy's return/exchange policy.
