Fantastic

My daughter (8) and I loved this book. We were hooked after the first few pages. We looked forward to reading more every night. We had trouble putting it down. We sincerely hope that a sequel is in the works.

Beautiful and moving.

Beautifully written and illustrated, Wingbearer does not disappoint. I had been waiting for its release for months since the artist is someone I've followed and admired for a while, so when I had the opportunity to grab it before its technical release date, I simply could not say no. Fantasy stories often have quite a bit of overlap when it comes to species, races, and environments, but the mystery and intrigue always lies with the origins, and Wingbearer is no exception. With colorful characters and equally colorful and expressive art, I couldn't help turning the next page to find out what happens next. It may be a bit predictable in certain aspects, but it is technically a children's graphic novel, so I can't fault it for that. The dialogue is written in such a way that I could picture the characters' voices in my head, which is something rare for me to be able to do. The writing is vivid and precise while not lacking any emotional push, and paired with the illustrations that bring everything to life, I found myself extremely invested very quickly. It's truly an enjoyable read for any age, and I very much look forward to the next installment.
