Excellent for middle schoolers!

This is the fourth in the series for middle schoolers about Max Einstein, a young girl with a genius IQ who is an orphan and homeless. She is part of a world-wide group of students who help solve world problems, underwritten by another wealthy student. The problem in this book is global warming. The group tries a major, highly-publicized event that is less than successful, before testing smaller ideas that could be more successful. Max still sees Albert Einstein in her mind, and even in her bedroom, and yearns to travel back in time to see her parents. This is a fascinating series that focuses on scientific solutions to world problems, as well as relationships and personal interactions between students. Instead of helpful guidelines at the end of the book, scientific illustrations and explanations are sprinkled throughout this book at the appropriate points in the plot. Excellent for young readers!
